The transaction enhances the Group’s ability to offer integrated industrial waste management solutions, expanding its commercial presence in Northern Italy and leveraging a unique combination of specialized expertise
Milan, August 4, 2026 – Itelyum, a leader in the management, recovery, and recycling of industrial waste, has completed the acquisition of a 60% majority stake in MC Italia Ambiente S.r.l., a company based in Settimo Milanese specializing in waste brokerage services for industrial clients.
MC Italia Ambiente operates as a high-value-added environmental services coordination platform. Its distinctive offering is based on its ability to identify, combine, and manage the most suitable solutions for industrial waste streams, particularly hazardous waste, through a qualified network of final destination facilities and the coordination of transport activities.
The company has a well-established presence in the industrial districts of Northern Italy, particularly in Lombardy, Piedmont, and Veneto, and stands out for its tailored approach to managing complex waste streams and its high standards of service.
MC Italia Ambiente’s entry into the Group marks a further step in the development of Itelyum’s one-stop-shop model, enabling the Group to offer industrial companies an even broader and more integrated range of solutions: from waste collection, treatment, recovery, and disposal to environmental services and ad hoc solutions for specific environmental needs.
Entrepreneurial and managerial continuity will be ensured by Massimiliano Masi, founder of MC Italia Ambiente, and Marinella Luddeni. They will continue to contribute to the company’s development while retaining a minority stake and continuing in their respective roles as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager.
With the addition of MC Italia Ambiente, the Itelyum Group now comprises 53 companies and employs more than 1,850 people across six countries.
“In a context in which industry is increasingly required to manage resources, processes, and environmental impacts efficiently and responsibly, the ability to offer integrated solutions across the entire waste value chain—through directly operated infrastructure that is unique in Italy in terms of facilities, fleet, personnel, and recycling technologies—is what distinguishes our offering,” said Marco Codognola, CEO of Itelyum. “With MC Italia Ambiente joining the Group, we are consolidating our one-stop-shop model, expanding the Group’s ability to support industrial clients with specialized expertise, and strengthening our commercial capacity to provide clients with tailored, rapid, flexible, and effective responses.”
“The trust of our clients is the result of a long-standing commitment built on professionalism, expertise, and the ability to respond effectively to their needs and expectations,” said Massimiliano Masi, CEO of MC Italia Ambiente. “Joining the Itelyum Group—a leading, dynamic, and constantly evolving company in the environmental sector—will further enhance the quality of our services and generate unique synergies, creating new opportunities and strengthening our ability to provide increasingly effective and comprehensive solutions.”
